Sr. Consultant, Business Systems Analysis

As a member of CIBC’s Capital Markets, Foreign Exchange Technology Team, the Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. The role provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives. The Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis develops, recommends and facilitates activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs. The role provides expertise to project managers, coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics. The role independently resolves a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts, devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 day per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a BSA in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions.
- Ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation.
- Excellent abilities to manage stakeholders and having strong communication skills is a must.
- Strong abilities around analyzing and understanding data, as well as gap analysis expertise.
- At least 4 years of SQL and Jira/Confluence experience.

- Knowledge in Foreign Exchange
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs.
- Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements.
- Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
- Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals.
- Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
