As a member of CIBC’s team, the Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. The role provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives. The Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis develops, recommends and facilitates activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs. The role provides expertise to project managers, coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics. The role independently resolves a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts, devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking. Requirements

  • Extensive BSA experience.
  • 5-8 years in a Business Systems Analysis in a BCS role.
  • Experience leading projects and designing solutions across Capital Markets, Settlement or Fixed Income.
  • Expertise in financial products particularly Fixed Income.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end trade processes.
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol and XML.
  • Experience working with Oracle databases and Bloomberg TOMS.
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx.
  • Experience working with Confluence and Jira in Agile environments.
  • Advanced analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Adept at analyzing and understanding data, performing gap analysis.
  • Proficiency utilizing Excel pivot tables, Visio, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Engaging with purpose to find the right solutions.

  • Primarily working with Rates desk but since it is a cross asset risk management platform they will opportunities working on other asset classes as well.

Responsibilities

  • Providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth.
  • Providing technical leadership, interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives.
  • Developing, recommending and facilitating activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs.
  • Providing expertise to project managers, coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics.
  • Independently resolving a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts, devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking.
  • Working closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure project needs are met.
  • Building strong relationships, leading discussions, listening and asking the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Building client-focused solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Preparing and validating solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Supporting end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and providing guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals.
  • Maintaining a collaborative work environment and supporting team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
