About The Position

Rally House is a specialty retail store that carries local merchandise, operating 300+ stores nationwide with plans for further expansion. The Sr. Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of retail construction projects for Rally House. This includes planning, design, permitting, construction, technology integration, and store opening for new store openings (NSOs), renovations, and relocations. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with Rally House brand standards. Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective leadership and communication skills
  • Strong budgeting and cost control skills
  • Strong understanding of retail construction, including mall and in-line store environment
  • Understanding of permitting, building codes, ADA, and safety requirements
  • 5–7+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience working with landlords and shopping centers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with small-box retail store openings preferred
  • Retail rollout experience preferred
  • PMP or similar certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; NetSuite is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from site handoff through store opening and closeout
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of plan development and permitting, with hands-on oversight of drawing reviews, coordination with architects/jurisdictions, and permit execution from start to finish
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and critical path milestones
  • Lead multiple concurrent store projects across a multi-format retail portfolio
  • Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Source and manage contractors, architects, and engineers
  • Evaluate vendor performance and maintain relationships
  • Own and manage project budgets from planning through closeout
  • Track costs, forecast variances, and implement corrections
  • Manage contracts, change orders, and documentation through project completion and closeout
  • Review and approve invoices and change orders
  • Coordinate with landlords, property managers, and developers
  • Manage permitting, zoning, and inspection processes to ensure timelines are met
  • Ensure adherence to landlord design criteria
  • Manage exterior signage approvals through install
  • Coordinate installation of branding and graphics as needed
  • Lead turnover process and punch walks with operations and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate installation of fixtures and store equipment
