About The Position

This role integrates compensation expertise with program management capabilities to lead and support strategic initiatives across Avnet’s Total Rewards function. The Compensation Program Manager will design, implement, and manage compensation programs while driving cross-functional projects that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and employee engagement. The role serves as a key liaison between HR Business Partners, leadership, and global stakeholders to ensure compensation strategies are aligned with business goals and executed effectively.

Requirements

  • Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
  • Mastery knowledge of industry best practices and disciplines.
  • Considered a subject matter expert within the organization and contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions to highly complex and uniquely challenging situations.
  • Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and variables.
  • Expected to make improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Works independently toward long-range goals and objectives.
  • Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and administer base pay, incentive, and equity programs across global regions.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and participate in compensation surveys to maintain competitive positioning.
  • Advise HR Business Partners and department leaders on compensation decisions, policies, and practices.
  • Participate in annual compensation cycles including merit, bonus, and equity planning.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international compensation regulations and pay transparency laws.
  • Support compensation education global initiatives
  • Support and/or administer Long-term and Short-term incentive programs and initiatives
  • Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements
  • Prepares special compensation studies and makes recommendations on compensation subjects
  • Audits the compensation function for process improvement opportunities and conducts research and internal/external benchmarking studies of best practices
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Lead compensation-related projects such as job architecture redesign, pay equity audits, and system implementations.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and stakeholder communication strategies for compensation initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, Legal, and IT to deliver program outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, risks, and milestones to leadership.
  • Support change management efforts and training for new compensation tools and processes.
