One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter to join their growing team in New York, NY. Requirements

Associate Degree or higher, plus 5 years of relevant commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience.
Additional 2 years of commercial P&C underwriting experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Must have the ability to react and respond quickly and professionally.
Must provide creative, analytical, and innovative thinking to ensure productive problem-solving.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Excess and Surplus Lines experience is highly preferred.
Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluates information to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines.
Makes appropriate decisions based on the evaluation of underwriting information.
Effectively communicates and negotiates underwriting and pricing decisions to achieve optimal outcomes.
Documents decisions in accordance with regulatory standards.
Acts with a sense of urgency on all inquiries/requests.
Provides outstanding customer service.
Underwrites a moderate book of business with a moderate to complex risk profile.
Performs other duties as assigned.
