About The Position

Alcon is looking to hire a Senior CNC Machinist/Programmer team member. This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Sr. Associate, General Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for analyzing technology trends, designing and modifying processes, and resolving engineering issues to enhance team performance and operational efficiency. This role is on-site in our Lake Forest, CA location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized technical tasks and conduct research to optimize project outcome
  • Design new processes and modify existing ones to improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate and resolve issues related to manufacturing, design, quality, and material engineering.
  • Develop test procedures, estimate costs, and plan and execute projects while managing project and operational budgets and supervising contractors.
  • Establish engineering standards and budgetary controls.
  • Introduce new or modified equipment, tools, software, and systems.
  • Collaborate with others to assess engineering feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and customer demand.
  • Make informed decisions within the scope of assigned tasks.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, effective communication, and task management skills.
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality control.
  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to organizational compliance.
  • Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
  • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
  • Knowledge of MasterCam 2022 or later.
  • Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization.
