About The Position

WET is where engineering meets imagination. From the Fountains of Bellagio to kinetic water installations across the globe, our work transforms raw materials into moving experiences that engage millions. We build it all here — concept to fully functional assemblies — combining high-precision machining, fabrication, and assembly under one roof. We’re a high‑mix, low‑volume, prototype‑to‑production environment that rewards curious minds and craftsmanship — not red tape. As a Senior CNC Machinist , you’ll own a small cell of CNC Mills and/ or Lathes within our precision machining group. You’ll set up, operate, and program multi‑axis Haas equipment while producing one‑off and short‑run parts that become integral to WET’s world‑renowned water and lighting systems. Collaboration and technical independence define the role: you’ll troubleshoot, innovate, and contribute to continuous improvement alongside expert peers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ CNC machining experience (setup through light programming) in precision custom shop, prototype to production shops, themed entertainment, or aerospace, and medical, environments
  • Expert knowledge of Haas controls and G/M‑code editing
  • Proficiency with tight tolerance machining, high‑finish surface requirements, and small or delicate parts
  • Confidence multitasking across multiple machines and part styles
  • Experience designing or modifying tooling and fixtures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving instincts, and pride in finishing parts to perfection
  • Thrive in a collaborative, high‑creativity environment where flexibility beats formality

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and fine‑tune CNC Haas Mills and Lathes (including sub‑spindle, bar feeder, and live tooling configurations)
  • Write and edit G‑code directly at the machine; adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets for optimal finish and efficiency
  • Handle complex prototype machining and one‑off parts with tight tolerances and unique geometries
  • Design and build custom fixtures and work‑holding solutions for small‑batch production
  • Read and interpret complex prints, GD&T callouts, and solid models ; work closely with engineering to optimize manufacturability
  • Oversee multiple machines within a 3‑machine cell
  • Inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and surface measurement tools
  • Apply practical shop math and sound machining judgment rather than relying on excessive process documentation
  • Support Lean/5S practices and continuously improve setups, time reduction, and workflow efficiency
