About The Position

Provides advanced technical expertise in the most complex technical areas in a major division of the lab. Develops procedures and test criteria, collects and extrapolates data, assists in lab research and design efforts, and oversees quality assurance and performance improvement activities in a specialized area of the lab. Instructs other lab personnel in new procedures, participates in teaching and serves as a technical resource for the division.

Requirements

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required
• Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Four or more years applicable experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Current CA CLS License
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization
