About The Position

This role serves as a key member of the team, driving clinical excellence and innovation in MRI technology. The position involves applying expertise to lead the clinical staff scientist team, oversee MR quality assurance and accreditation programs, advise on the MR safety program, continuously review and seek opportunities for improving MR image quality, assist with new equipment purchase and installation, and educate fellows and MRI technologists. Additionally, the role involves conducting innovative research to develop cutting-edge techniques to improve the diagnostic value of MRI technology and patient care, assisting internal and external MRI investigators, collaborating with manufacturers and investigators to improve MRI techniques, writing and assisting grant applications, representing the institution in the MRI scientific community, and mentoring junior researchers. The Sr. Clinical Support Scientist will also supervise routine QA measures performed by technologists, oversee and perform ACR annual quality testing, and aid in the installation of ancillary equipment related to MR systems. A significant part of the role includes educating radiology fellows on advanced MR imaging techniques and applications.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of Post-Doctoral fellowship
  • Doctorate Of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or medical physics or neuropsychology; D.Sc. or M.D
  • 3-4 years training/experience in graduate research
