Under general supervision, performs scientific investigative research related to patient care. This role involves researching literature, participating in the design of experimental protocols, and developing new procedures. The assistant will interview patients, maintain study records, enter data, and perform statistical analyses. They may also assist in writing presentations and papers, perform EKGs and vital signs, and handle blood and tissue sample processing and shipment as required by protocol.
