About The Position

The Client Strategist is a client-facing role that is responsible for developing tailored strategies that drive business growth and enhance client satisfaction. They operate at the intersection of business insight, market intelligence, and client relationship management, crafting strategic plans that satisfy client objectives and deliver measurable value. The role involves continual collaboration with internal teams, analyzing client data, market trends, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and potential risks. The Client Strategist plays a critical role in GTT's success by developing and executing strategic plans to grow and retain key accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and GTT's service offerings. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably within the telecommunications or technology industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing. Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Relationship building and customer management skills: Ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Project management skills: Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute projects to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
  • Business acumen: Strong understanding of business principles, financial metrics, and market dynamics.
  • Technical aptitude: Basic understanding of telecommunications technologies and networking concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in strategic account management, business development, or consulting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of assigned accounts, including their business objectives, technology infrastructure, and competitive landscape. Develop and implement customized strategies to achieve revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term account profitability.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing accounts. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover new service needs and develop compelling value propositions.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships: Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within customer organizations. Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for GTT's solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with sales, engineering, product management, and other internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and achieve customer success.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies. Leverage this knowledge to identify new opportunities and develop innovative solutions for GTT's customers.
  • Represent GTT at industry events and conferences: Participate in industry events and conferences to network with potential clients, build industry relationships, and enhance GTT's brand visibility.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue and profitability targets: Drive revenue growth and profitability within assigned accounts, meeting or exceeding established targets.
