A quick snapshot… The Unified Commerce space is evolving rapidly, and Aptos intends to lead that transformation. We are seeking a candidate who not only understands how modern technology is reshaping the POS market, but who also brings a strong point of view on how to position Aptos and our solutions for competitive advantage. As a Senior Client Executive, you will be responsible for selling Aptos Unified Commerce solutions to both prospects and existing customers, with a primary focus on netnew logo acquisition and proactive territory development. Aptos Client Executives operate with a true hunter’s mentality—they are relentless in identifying new opportunities, penetrating target accounts, and expanding Aptos’ presence in the market. They grow our customer base by consistently winning new deals and delivering longterm value to the retailers we serve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years of experience successfully selling enterprise retail software solutions, ideally modern cloud POS / unified commerce platforms.
  • A proven track record of new logo acquisition, demonstrated through consistent quota achievement and success in outbound driven enterprise sales cycles.
  • Deep understanding of retail, particularly physical retail in the Apparel & Footwear vertical.
  • Strong executive presence and expertise in cultivating relationships at all levels.
  • Established relationships with senior executives with retailers in Aptos's target markets
  • A detailed, inquisitive, and analytical mindset.
  • Extensive outside sales experience engaging Tier 1 and Tier 2 retail leaders, with a focus on prospecting and territory penetration.
  • Proficiency using Salesforce.com to prospect, qualify leads, manage pipeline, and maintain account intelligence.
  • Comfort using social media (e.g., LinkedIn) as a prospecting and outreach tool.
  • Proven ability to present and sell effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced strategic sales techniques and enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Ability to travel as business needs require.
  • Location: Eastern or Central time zone (US)

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with Sales, Marketing, Strategy, Professional Services, and Customer Operations to position Aptos and its solutions with new prospective customers.
  • Fostering relationships and collaborating with Aptos’ partners to uncover new leads, expand reach, and build a qualified pipeline.
  • Engaging with assigned prospects to uncover business needs using valuebased selling, with a focus on opening new doors and driving earlystage discovery.
  • Developing a deep understanding of prospective customers’ business needs and pain points, and creating demand for Aptos solutions by recommending actions that positively impact their business.
  • Building comprehensive account plans for strategic new logo targets, orchestrating crossfunctional activities to advance opportunities.
  • Leading strategic sales calls and presentations; identifying and evaluating account goals and designing tailored demonstrations that address key challenges.
  • Directing internal resources such as Solution Consultants, Sales Operations, and Legal, while keeping stakeholders across Professional Services and Client Care aligned on opportunity progression.
  • Preparing and delivering compelling presentations to seniorlevel executives.
  • Managing opportunity progression in Salesforce.com and accurately forecasting timelines to close new business.
