About The Position

Philadelphia Insurance Companies is expanding its PIP team and is considering candidates nationwide for a Senior Claims Examiner - PIP. The role analyzes insurance claims to determine the insurer’s obligations and settles claims with first claimants in accordance with policy provisions and applicable law. The position uses a hybrid work model, with remote consideration for qualified candidates outside the primary geographic region. Travel is required for customer service calls, mediations, and other legal proceedings.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Five or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
For employees in good standing with excellent claim audit scores, three or more years of PIC-related experience and an AIC designation will be considered.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
AIC designation, with at least three years of PIC-related experience, may be considered for employees in good standing with excellent claim audit scores.

Responsibilities

Evaluate each claim based on the facts.
Affirm or deny coverage.
Investigate claims to establish proper reserves.
Settle or deny claims fairly and expeditiously.
Communicate with relevant parties and document communications and investigation results.
Understand coverage, policy terms, and conditions across broad insurance areas, products, or special contracts.
Travel to attend customer service calls, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
