About The Position

Design Hire is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to support engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects within industrial and energy-related facilities. The position focuses on structural analysis and design for buildings, pipe racks, equipment foundations, and supporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with a strong technical background in industrial structural engineering and experience delivering complex projects from initial design through construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in civil/structural engineering design and analysis for industrial, oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, or related facilities.
• Previous experience supporting EPC projects, including detailed engineering and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, equipment foundations, industrial buildings, and pipe rack design.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA-3D, or similar programs.
• Working knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards, including AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, and IBC.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage engineering deliverables and coordinate across project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and design for industrial buildings, pipe racks, equipment foundations, steel structures, and concrete systems.
• Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, design calculations, and technical documentation for EPC projects.
• Design structural systems for equipment loads, piping loads, wind, seismic forces, and other applicable loading conditions.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and construction teams to ensure structural designs meet project requirements and schedules.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction, including reviewing submittals, resolving design issues, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
