About The Position

This position is responsible for execution and strategic oversight of assigned categories, including negotiation, budgeting, forecasting and aligning customer needs with the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain, category, finance, or related field; supplier management experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiations experience.
  • Presentation Experience.
  • Ability to extract insights from complex data sets using advanced excel skills.
  • Ability to influence through direct and indirect teams.
  • Knowledge / Experience of budgets and forecasting.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Travel is up to 5% annually.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the financial planning and forecasting process.
  • Develop category sourcing strategy and recommendations in conjunction with key business partners.
  • Conduct industry analysis to provide proactive insight to develop a 3-year category strategy.
  • Partner with the Sourcing team to support negotiating and executing preferred supplier contracts.
  • Provide ongoing trend analysis (business performance & drivers) to seize value-creating opportunities & corrective actions.
  • Research current state and future needs, analysis of market trends and potential suppliers, and identification of continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Responsible for development of comprehensive strategy reports.
  • Identify, design & execute cost savings projects within assigned categories.
  • Manage supplier performance - escalation resolution management.
  • Create & deliver presentations with customer & competitive insights, recommendations.
  • Ownership of required internal processes including budgeting, contract attributes, benchmarking, pricing, product recommendations, etc.
