About The Position

Tropicana Brands Group (TBG) is a $3B startup formed in 2022 as a joint venture between PAI Partners and PepsiCo, with a portfolio including brands like Tropicana, Naked, KeVita, Izze, Copella, and Punica. TBG aims to revolutionize the beverage category by preserving its legacy in orange juice while driving innovation in other areas. The Commercial team is crucial for driving revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention, and providing market insights. This role reports to the TBG Canada Head of Commercial & French Operations and is responsible for establishing Wal-Mart Category Analytics in Canada and supporting Commercial Team analytics. The individual will serve as the primary category advisor for the Wal-Mart Canada business. Bilingualism and knowledge of Wal-Mart systems are considered strong assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in category management, intelligence analysis, sales or a similar field.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Nielsen IQ, customer databases) preferred.
  • Experience in CPG or related industry preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual, with a knowledge of the Quebec market preferred.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and handling complex information.

Responsibilities

  • Stand up, update and advise Wal-Mart weekly reporting using NielsenIQ and Wal-Mart internal tools (Retail Link).
  • Establish, prepare and advise Wal-Mart quarterly business reviews using NielsenIQ and Wal-Mart internal tools (Retail Link).
  • Provide planogram recommendations (small, medium and large) that will dictate the execution of the 150 published versions.
  • Manage Wal-Mart Canada Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR), including managing DC inventory levels, influencing inbound orders to mitigate fines and maximize WM fill rates, facilitating large pushes in preparation for promotions, and improving forecasting.
  • Work with the Senior Category Manager to update, analyze, monitor and report on the performance of the company and its competitors to support corporate performance management and strategy.
  • Work with the Senior RGM/PPA Manager to provide deep diving pricing analytics/scenarios using the Buynomics platform.
  • Work with the Sales Strategy Manager to support innovation launch and tracking.
  • Provide support in the preparation of annual business planning documents and the Commercial Growth Forum Meeting (CGF).
  • Serve on projects targeting particular improvement opportunities, as needed.
  • Other work as directed.
