About The Position

Hands-on designer responsible for creating electro-mechanical systems in Solidworks for liquid cooling system products. This person would work with a team of refrigeration, mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineers to bring the new product through its full product development process, which includes early concept through production support. The person will own the design throughout the entire specification, design, build, and test process. The candidate is responsible for sheetmetal design, selecting fittings, tubing, hardware and other components, and create all detail drawings. The person would work with the engineering team debugging build issues with the product and implementing redlines into design. The mechanical designer will be responsible for ensuring the product’s enclosure and layout meets the specification requirements, is manufacturable and serviceable, while working with the team to deliver on schedule and on budget.

Requirements

  • BSME. Willing to consider other similar education if substantial experience is directly applicable.
  • 3+ Years of hands on experience creating models and drawings in CAD, Solidworks preferred, for mechanical assemblies with the ability to manage assemblies up to 100 custom parts combined with 800+ off the shelf components.
  • Working knowledge of engineering tools: PLM software MRP software (Oracle cloud a plus)
  • Knowledgeable / experienced sheet metal (with hardware) and plumbing (fittings, hosing).
  • Able to work independently and prioritize work based on the candidates understanding of the given overall project requirements as well as other projects within the organization.
