This person will be responsible for the procurement activities of the business unit, procuring the right products and materials, at the right cost, in the right quantities, at the right quality, at the right timing, driving industry leading internal and external customer service levels and inventory optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or other relevant fields preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain management, materials planning, or related fields.
- Advanced level Excel skills which include experience in creating Excel/Database files is required with SQL query building experience preferred.
- Experience with MRP or supply planning software such as SAP or JDE.
- Experience in a Job-Shop manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities
- Analyze purchase requisitions for accuracy and place purchase orders to meet the requirements at competitive costs, quality and lead-times.
- Accountable for inventory days on hand for the business unit.
- Ensure aligned inventory strategies are incorporated into updated supply plans.
- Proactively communicate potential supply issues with the material supply, while leading and coordinating issue resolution.
- Develop ideas and strategies to improve procurement, planning and operations efficiencies, aid in business performance enhancement, and work towards continuous improvement. Initiate Kaizens as required.
- Identify and manage excess and obsolete product with continuous improvement approach to minimize future causes.
- Solve process any Accounts Payable and Receiving Issues in a timely manner.
