About The Position

QinetiQ US is seeking a Sr Buyer for our Lorton, VA location. We are a world-class team of professionals who deliver next generation technology and products in robotic and autonomous platforms, ground, soldier, and maritime systems in 50+ locations world-wide. Requirements

  • 10 years of experience- 7+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, with at least 3+ years in a senior position handling complex procurement task.
  • Understands Contractors Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) requirements
  • Use of Costpoint ERP system
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals.
  • Negotiate and execute purchase orders and Long-Term Agreement contracts with suppliers and secure advantageous terms.
  • Perform price/cost analysis.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements and regulations
