About The Position
Privately held manufacturer of engineered to order capital equipment has an immediate need for a Sr Buyer. This role involves the negotiation of all terms & conditions for major commodities such as Metals (Plate, Tube, Bar) and key engineered components. The Sr Buyer will also be responsible for understanding make-buy analysis ROI, creating business cases, and managing indirect consumables. This position requires the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment
Nice To Haves
- BS degree
- Prior metals knowledge
Responsibilities
- Negotiation of all terms & conditions for major commodities (Metals - Plate, Tube, Bar and key engineered components, etc.)
