About The Position

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for performing analysis of new business system development and system improvements. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of IT systems, software configuration, CI/CD, engineering, and business processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing business systems, as well as proficiency in software environments and upgrades. The Sr. Business Systems Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure the successful implementation of solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects, stay updated with the latest industry trends, and contribute to the strategic direction of business system initiatives. In this role, you will perform analysis of new business system development and system improvements, supporting and contributing to the enterprise business or engineering application strategy. You will oversee and contribute to the configuration, upgrade, and long-term operation of software while directing the operation and maintenance of software architecture and environments to meet the IT needs of the business. A key part of your responsibilities will be to continuously assess and improve processes to enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will identify areas for improvement, develop improvement plans, and lead their implementation. Additionally, you will collaborate with external vendors and service providers to define contracted services and ensure they meet the agreed-upon requirements of the business. Depending on the scope of the role, you may act as an individual contributor or supervise, mentor, and coach other business systems analysts. You may also supervise a team of analysts, providing leadership and guidance to ensure successful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +6 yrs experience).
  • Typically 8+ years of related experience.
  • Certification: varies by business system.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, software configuration, CI/CD, engineering, and/or business processes.
  • Proficiency in software environments and upgrades.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and process improvement.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native application development.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools and techniques, including machine learning and AI.
