About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Sr Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on the Spark project, specifically the portfolio conversion component. This role requires a proactive and analytical individual who can independently elicit and document requirements, facilitate meetings, and liaise across various business units and teams. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, a strong communicator, and a do-er with excellent time management and prioritization skills. This position involves working directly with business partners, documenting requirements in user story format within ADO, building relationships with stakeholders, and collaborating with technical teams, vendors, and subject matter experts. The role also includes supporting the Scrum Master, performing analytics, testing, reconciliation, and data validation for migration projects. Specific responsibilities related to portfolio conversion include managing action items in ADO, participating in PI planning, defect triage, and creating process/data flows and SOPs. The candidate will also be involved in creating test cases, assisting with manual validation, and potentially serving as a QA Lead backup.

Requirements

  • Must have ADO (Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

  • Elicit and write quality requirements, documenting business and system/data requirements in user story format within ADO.
  • Build and maintain relationships with assigned teams and corporate stakeholders.
  • Study and understand processes/subject areas for assigned teams.
  • Perform requirements gathering and clarifications with the technical team.
  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders and vendors to analyze business needs and work with teams on solutions.
  • Work with implementation partners to ensure smooth project/product team go-lives.
  • Lead assigned initiatives and communicate status, issues, or risks to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, business teams, vendors, and subject matter experts to perform daily activities.
  • Serve as the conduit between business partners and the technical team through triage, research, requirements, testing, and support.
  • Be accountable for properly following all IT standards, processes, and methodologies (including SDLC, QA practices, etc.).
  • Participate in On-call Support on a rotating schedule (M-F only, no evenings or weekends) and perform application validation.
  • Manage and deliver support requests for assigned Business Unit and related JM Family requests, including planning, troubleshooting, solving, and communicating within multiple areas.
  • Produce SOP documents and act as a change agent for their adoption.
  • Lead the triage of issue resolution and communicate effectively with both Business and IT teams.
  • Produce Business Requirements/User Stories and work with QA Resources on test cases.
  • Cross-train to learn applications across the assigned Business Unit application portfolio.
  • Learn the processes and tools needed to perform the role effectively.
  • Identify the business impact of system issues and facilitate communication to stakeholders.
  • Engage and communicate with senior management as appropriate.
  • Help PM capture and manage action items in ADO as needed.

  • Lead PC requirements elicitation, partner with other SPARK teams (BA, BM, FL, Configuration Lead) as needed.
  • Identify need for PC placeholders in Alfa and manage them trial over trial as needed (e.g., following up on configuration & code refactoring, closing features/stories in ADO, communicating with BMs).
  • Help Feature Lead create onboarding materials for new testers.
  • Document Alfa UI path in DMR as needed.
  • Deliver Alfa UI demos as needed.
  • Serve as QA Lead backup to lead defect triage.
