The Sr Business Analyst will be responsible for documenting requirements, defining scope, objectives, and business justifications. This role involves formulating executive summaries and project charters, and writing requirements and specifications for software applications. The analyst must possess multi-task capability to handle multiple projects and serve as an advisor for lower-level IT Business staff in building user-requirement traceability matrices. This position acts as the primary contact and technical advisor to clients, requiring collaborative leadership abilities. The role adheres to established architecture standards and follows both software development lifecycle and project management lifecycle methodologies. The analyst will participate, represent, guide, and provide critical analysis expertise to the group, potentially leading group discussions and collaborative efforts to define and develop user requirements. Extensive technical knowledge of the Information Technology field and computer systems is essential, along with excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills. The ability to lead the most complex projects and work within a complex, diversified application development environment is crucial. A strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, and to prioritize appropriately, is required. The candidate must display initiative, the ability to work independently, and use extensive independent judgment. The highest level of critical thinking is necessary to weigh alternatives and present solutions consistent with business strategy. A minimum of six or more years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Project Analyst, or in a related area, is desired but not mandatory. Successful participation in 5+ large-scale software development projects is expected.
