Sr. Business Analyst - Compliance

This Sr. Business Analyst will perform highly impactful strategic and analytical work supporting Compliance organizations across Capital One. In this mission-critical role, you will use data to empower compliance testing, drive enterprise complaint program, and improve customer experience. By partnering closely with leaders across the organization (senior business and compliance leaders, Technology, Product, Risk office, Legal, and Risk Management), you will ensure our products remain innovative, compliant, and customer-centric.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
- 1+ years of experience in Statistical model building
- 1+ years of experience in SQL querying and Python programming
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis
- 1+ years of experience in consulting
- Previous consulting experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
- Perform modeling/analytics to assist internal Compliance product build
- Involve problem frameworks, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan
- Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: senior business and compliance leaders, Technology, Product, Risk office, Legal, and Risk Management and others
