About The Position
The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an experienced Senior Building Automation Specialist. BAS technicians support a building’s management, tenants, and systems by managing BAS equipment and technologies. A BAS technician’s primary duties include monitoring BAS components for HVAC, plumbing, electricity, computer networking, lighting, and security. They work with building managers, tenants, and visitors to provide a safe and comfortable experience inside the building. Additionally, they collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to maintain or expand the building’s features and capacities. They also work with BAS vendors and solutions to use data from BAS components to improve a building’s performance or reduce its operating cost. The role involves performing Preventative Maintenance and Commissioning tests on complete automation systems and making recommendations for systems upgrades and efficiency of operations.
