About The Position

Join our dedicated Bioreactor Support team at Unity Lab Services, providing tailored lab services and supply management to our Biotech customers. We seek an enthusiastic Bioreactor Support Specialist to be responsible for bioreactor assembly, maintenance, and support, ensuring bioreactors are well-maintained, compliant, and operate efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma/GED requires.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Personal protective equipment, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes, is often required.
  • Regular lifting of 30-40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
  • Standing, walking, and manual material handling of chemical containers are frequent activities, sometimes in varied temperature environments.
  • Overtime work may also be necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years in mechanical assembly/maintenance preferred
  • Bioreactor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various tools for reactor assembly and maintenance.
  • Perform tube maintenance and assembly tasks.
  • Conduct advanced reactor part-assembly and modifications to meet customer requests.
  • Operate the autoclave and rinse equipment for sterilization.
  • Execute basic reactor part-assembly and advanced autoclave usage for built reactors.
  • Disburse reactor parts and ensure proper ergonomic tool use.
  • Apply basic knowledge of pressure testing in a sterile environment.
  • Utilization of Good Documentation Practices in all record keeping maintaining metric data for work performed.
  • Instrument verifications and calibrations following customer and manufacturers protocols.
  • Tracking of lab equipment information including calibration schedules, open work orders, and equipment status using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CCMS)
  • Participate in individual or group projects that can include, cost savings analysis, learning groups, writing job training methods, and leading team meetings
  • May perform other duties as assigned by management.
