About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer who will design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and platform capabilities. This role combines strong backend engineering with hands-on involvement in release readiness, production deployment, monitoring, and cross-team coordination. You will contribute to high-impact technical decisions, maintain engineering excellence, and help drive smooth, reliable release cycles. Seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable backend services for enterprise-grade platforms. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, along with exposure to distributed systems and production-scale applications. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance backend solutions that support critical business workflows.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience(10+) with Java and Spring Boot.
Solid experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
Practical experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.
Experience building microservices and scalable backend systems.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend design patterns.
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices supporting high-volume transactions.
Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
Design schemas, optimize queries, and manage data using PostgreSQL.
Ensure application performance, scalability, resilience, and security.
Collaborate with frontend engineers, product owners, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end features.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
