About The Position

H1’s Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps team builds, automates, and optimizes AWS infrastructure for the company’s healthcare data platforms and applications. The Senior DevOps Engineer is a hands-on technical contributor focused primarily on cloud infrastructure engineering, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and cost optimization rather than traditional Site Reliability Engineering. The role partners with Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and other technical teams to provision infrastructure, improve existing environments, automate manual processes, and support the evolving needs of applications and data platforms. It also contributes to database infrastructure and operational support, including troubleshooting database-related challenges across US-based projects. The position involves designing, building, and managing AWS infrastructure at scale; independently owning infrastructure projects from technical design through provisioning, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization; and improving environments so they are scalable, secure, efficient, and cost-effective. The role supports containerized applications and cloud-native data platforms, maintains CI/CD pipelines, and collaborates with engineering and database teams on infrastructure and database troubleshooting. The role pays $120,000 to $145,000 per year based on experience, in addition to equity in the form of RSUs. H1 requires all candidates to participate in an in-person final interview, which may require travel depending on location. The anticipated role close date is 11/25/2026.
