About The Position

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will develop, maintain, and expand automation software toolchains that integrate engineering data from various sources to support launch vehicle development and mission integration. This includes toolchains that interact with large-scale production CAD databases to support vehicle-level mass property estimation as well as other infrastructure projects that may utilize Databricks, AWS, Gitlab CI, or other frameworks and elements to automate analysis workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, automation, data science, engineering, or analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain automated software tools and workflows
  • Experience with React, TypeScript, Kubernetes, Databricks, SQL, Python, REST APIs, and AWS
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
  • Experience developing and improving toolchains that interface with a CAD toolset or database
  • Experience developing analysis toolchains and database solutions
  • Experience with mass properties analysis
  • Knowledge of launch vehicles (vehicle architecture, components, etc.)
  • Knowledge of physics and engineering analysis fundamentals

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and expand automation software toolchains that integrate engineering data from various sources to support launch vehicle development and mission integration.
