About The Position

Advise Marketing, Brand, Insights, Consumer Engagement, and Digital teams across the full lifecycle of marketing initiatives, from concept through execution. Review and counsel on advertising, packaging, product claims, promotions, sweepstakes, contests, influencer marketing, social media, e-commerce, consumer activations, and emerging marketing tools. Draft, review, and negotiate agency, sponsorship, influencer, licensing, talent, and other marketing-related agreements. Partner with cross-functional legal and business teams on intellectual property, privacy, regulatory, compliance, litigation, communications, and reputational risk matters. Monitor legal and regulatory developments, develop practical guidance and training, and support strategic initiatives that enable responsible growth. Model collaborative leadership within the Legal function while providing solutions that balance business objectives, brand stewardship, and risk management.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department, with significant experience advising on advertising, marketing, promotions, and commercial transactions.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting consumer-facing businesses or consumer packaged goods companies is preferred.
  • In-house experience supporting marketing and brand organizations is strongly preferred.
