About The Position

This role is within the Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) Planning team, responsible for driving the financial and inventory strategy for Nike’s Direct business in North America. The planner will partner closely with Merchandising, Finance, and cross-functional planning teams, reporting into Planning leadership while collaborating across digital and stores retail functions. The ideal candidate is data-driven, thrives in complexity, and can translate numbers into clear, actionable stories. They should be curious, organized, able to navigate ambiguity, and connect data, product, and consumer insights to shape plans that deliver profitability and relevance. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build structure and tools that scale. Collaboration, challenging thinking, and elevating the work of others are key attributes.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in retail planning, merchandising, or inventory management strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage seasonal and in-season sales and inventory plans that align with merchandising and business strategies
  • Partner with Merchandising and cross-functional teams to develop consumer-right assortment and pricing strategies
  • Analyze business performance weekly, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Own and evolve reporting tools that drive clarity, consistency, and decision-making across the planning team
  • Lead forecast updates and variance reporting across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences
  • Manage markdown strategies and price positioning across the portfolio in alignment with marketplace dynamics
  • Drive lifecycle management from product launch through close-out, optimizing inventory health and financial outcomes
