About The Position

We have an immediate need for a Sr. Associate, Electrical Engineer to join our Missile Propulsion Electronics team in Canoga Park, California. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge propulsion technologies that support critical national defense. We are looking for an early career Electrical Engineer to work on our team to develop mixed analog and digital electronics circuits and systems. Great communication skills, technical depth, breadth, and passion will enable you to work effectively with cross functional (electrical, mechanical, software, system, test) product development teams. You will work on all phases of product development from proposal/concept/feasibility to design, prototyping, test, production, and follow on support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering, or related engineering/scientific discipline and at least two years of Analog and Digital electronics design experience.
  • Previous avionics design experience and knowledge specifically of mix signal topologies.
  • Previous experience in a high reliability or highly regulated industry such as medical, nuclear industries.
  • A demonstrated understanding of DoD/NASA engineering processes, materials, analysis and manufacturing.
  • Technical documentation, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Rocket Engines and Space Rated Avionics components and systems.
  • Schematic capture and electrical design experience.
  • PCB layout support and design reviews experience.
  • Ability to collaborate Cross-functionally with mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision on moderately complex assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform proposals, feasibility studies, trade studies, and proof of concept work.
  • Perform detailed circuit analysis, simulation, and Worst-Case Analysis.
  • Create schematics and oversee circuit board layout.
  • Bring up, verify, and debug circuits.
  • Develop and execute test plans.
  • Develop process improvements and training/mentoring to other engineers.
