About The Position

This role is for a qualified mechanical designer who will be a member of a highly motivated, multi-disciplined, cross-functional design engineering team. Responsibilities include electro-mechanical packaging and design, modification of existing and/or creation of new designs including electro-mechanical racks, shelters, enclosures, ground & airborne chassis’ and circuit card assemblies (CCA’s) and 3U/6U modules. The successful candidate will ensure new designs progress while meeting technical requirements and EVMS schedules and budgets. The role requires the ability to travel 5% of the standard work week and the ability to obtain a US security clearance. The designer will also create 3D models and 2D drawings of electro-mechanical designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
• Must be able to obtain a US security clearance as a job requirement

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of CAD -- Siemens NX (Designcenter) experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiar with the following open standards: VITA, VME, PMC, ASME Y14.5-2018
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required
• Strong work ethic; maintain a sense of urgency to ensure commitments to both schedule and budgets are met
