About The Position

We are seeking to add a partner level Real Estate attorney to join our growing Real Estate group. The Non-Equity Partner must have extensive experience in lease negotiations in the office and retail space, and other commercial properties. This role will be located in our New York office.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York.
• 10 plus years of real estate practice experience, with a strong background in lease negotiations.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial lease agreements for office, retail, and other commercial properties
• Represent landlords and tenants in lease negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while mitigating legal and financial risks.
• Support acquisitions, sales, and financing transactions by reviewing existing leases and evaluating tenant-related risks.
• Provide strategic legal guidance to developers, property owners, and corporate tenants throughout all phases of commercial leasing
• Excellent writing, advocacy, strategic thinking and organization skills to serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
