About The Position

CFSB is a full-service payments, lending and banking provider that delivers global financial services through a personal approach. CFSB is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker containers and networking. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.

Requirements

  • Proficient with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, ECS, EKS, Identity Center, Config, Security Hub and Lambda among others
  • Strong networking background, with hands-on experience with AWS Transit Gateway and hybrid architectures.
  • Strong DevOps background with passion for automation.
  • Proficient in at least one non-shell programming language (Java, .NET, Python, GoLang, Ruby among others)
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Proficient in creating, managing, and deploying Docker containers.
  • Basic knowledge of change management processes and practices.
  • Good understanding of data governance & security, cryptography and automation.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders in high pressure situations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 4+ Years Experience developing with Cloud Technologies (AWS, or Azure
  • 3+ Years Experience with Networking troubleshooting skill

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure AWS cloud environments using best practices.
  • Use Infrastructure-as-Code to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of systems through proactive monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Participate in the implementation and automation of cloud security measures, governance policies, and auditing processes.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams to provide a high level of service to our customers both internal and external and adhering to our strict SLAs for response and restoration times.
  • Collaborate with development teams to containerize existing applications and optimize deployment pipelines.
  • Well versed in managing incident calls during outages and involving the right people on the call and taking it to closure with root cause determination.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for known issues, workarounds, and standard operating procedures to assist in efficient problem resolution and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitoring the applications' stability, troubleshoot issues and resolve to ensure that client systems are operational, and any loss of service are restored completely.
  • Create scripts and automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual efforts.
  • Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and remediation processes.
  • Possess good organizational skills and a keen attention to detail to anticipate any potential issues and take proactive measures to resolve.
  • Provide after-hours support to the business.
