About The Position

This position is needed to drive next-generation innovation by designing, prototyping, and implementing forward-looking technical solutions for Twilio’s innovation team. As an Sr Architect, you’ll leverage your depth of technical knowledge, architectural vision, and leadership to pioneer transformative ideas. This high-impact, entrepreneurial role empowers you to shape the future of Twilio, experiment with emerging technologies, and directly influence our trajectory in a competitive tech landscape. You will be the bridge to guide technical decisions that ensure our experiments can be quickly moved to production, if successful. This role is accountable for ensuring they understand Twilio’s enterprise architecture and can help ensure scalability, extensibility in our technical design as well as call out one way door decisions when defining architectures. Requirements

15+ years in architecture or principal engineering roles within innovative, fast-paced environments.
Applied fraud detection and governance framework experience.
Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and LLMs with experience deploying models or AI-driven projects.
Demonstrated success designing large-scale, high-performance architectures across AWS & Azure
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with proven ability to drive technical direction.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, Go).
Experience with both front-end (React, Angular) and back-end (Node.js, Spring, SpringBoot) development.
Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and their tradeoffs.

Architect and prototype scalable, high-performance solutions using modern technologies.
