Acadia's hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average. Position Summary: This role will perform complex tasks and assist with processing accounts payable activities, including auditing & coding invoices, routing vendor invoices for approvals, weekly payment runs; checks, wires and ACH’s, vendor communications. The position will also support month-end close, accruals, reconciliations and 1099 IRS Reporting.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Targeting 5-7 years’ related experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Previous Accounts Payable experience required.
  • Experience working in a public company and in a Sarbanes-Oxley 404 environment.
  • Experience with Great Plains, Coupa, Concur and Excel.
  • Understanding of sales/use tax application.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to comprehend complex instructions and maintain written records.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and coordinate multiple projects, priorities and resources.
  • Ability to think through a project or task and execute from beginning to end independently.
  • Effective organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, judgment and flexibility.
  • Proficiency at supporting effective interactions between team members and among cross-functional team.
  • Ability to effectively share information and ideas within and outside of department in written or verbal form; able to put forth own ideas and gain understanding from others.

Responsibilities

  • Codes and audits invoices.
  • Verify approval for all vouchers for payment prior to processing.
  • Capture, report and track AP Accruals
  • Prepares and performs weekly payment runs.
  • Responds to vendor inquiries and resolves vendor billing/payment discrepancies
  • Assist with monthly A/P to G/L account reconciliations.
  • Performs AP month-end close tasks.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual 1099 tax reporting.
  • Prepares analysis of accounts as required.
  • Provides A/P support documentation for external auditors.
  • Generates AP reports and maintains AP files.
  • Conducts specialized research projects and responds to inquiries as required.
  • Adheres to corporate policies, government regulations and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Provides AP support to employees.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
  • Ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
