Sr. Analyst Relations Manager, Cortex
About The Position
We are looking for a high-agency, technically-grounded team player to advance how Palo Alto Networks engages with the world’s most influential industry analysts covering cybersecurity. You will join our communications team to help transform our traditional Analyst Relations function into a modern engine of market intelligence and strategic influence. Leveraging a deep understanding of the Palo Alto Networks portfolio, you will ensure that key analysts grasp the technical superiority of our platform. In this role, you are the chief advocate at the intersection of product innovation and market perception, translating complex AI and security telemetry into a narrative that commands authority. Cortex Platform - Cortex is the industry's only open and integrated, AI-based, continuous security platform. Cortex is a significant evolution of the Application Framework designed to simplify security operations and considerably improve outcomes. Deployed on a global, scalable public cloud platform, Cortex allows security operations teams to speed the analysis of massive data sets.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in technical roles (SE, PM, TME, technical Marketing) or Corporate Strategy with deep experience in Cybersecurity or Cloud environments.
- Advanced technical fluency with the ability to go deep into the 'how' of AI and Zero Trust, translating complex engineering milestones into human-centric business value.
- Natural ability to build deep, trust-based partnerships with both skeptical analysts and internal high-growth stakeholders.
- A self-starter who takes complete ownership of outcomes while remaining a grounded, collaborative partner who thrives on team success.

Responsibilities
- Strategic influence architecture: Move beyond traditional cycles to engage a modern ecosystem of boutique analysts and AI-native researchers who shape the buying journey of our largest customers.
- Market intelligence feedback loop: Act as a strategic consultant to our product organization. Use your technical fluency to synthesize analyst insights and competitive intelligence, bridging the gap between our engineering roadmaps and market demand.
- Category leadership: Conceptualize and execute proactive AR strategies that don't just respond to existing categories but proactively define new ones, such as the AI-Runtime Security and Autonomous SOC markets.
- Executive narrative partner: Collaborate as a key member of our communications team to sharpen disruption narratives, ensuring our spokespeople are positioned as the definitive technical voices in cybersecurity.
- Digital & algorithmic visibility: Ensure Palo Alto Networks’ leadership is accurately captured by the next generation of AI-driven research platforms and generative search engines used by modern analysts.
- High-velocity evaluative excellence: Lead the global team through high-stakes evaluative cycles (Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves) with a relentless focus on technical precision, speed, and premium execution.
- Modern impact measurement: Shift the AR scorecard from 'volume of briefings' to 'strategic impact,' measuring success through inquiry share of voice, sales cycle acceleration, and analyst-driven pipeline.
Benefits
- The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
