About The Position

The Senior Analyst will support S&P Dow Jones Indices’ US Equity Indices initiatives in Europe and globally, contributing to product development, financial monitoring, and client indexing solutions. The role supports the commercial success of US Equity indices and provides exposure to products across US Equities and to European clients, including asset managers, asset owners, structured product desks, and financial technology and data companies. The position sits within the US Equity Index Product Management team, which oversees products such as the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Sector indices, Style indices, and Sustainability indices. The team sets strategic priorities for revenue growth and contributes client solutions, insights, thought leadership, product strategy, and financial health to S&P DJI’s Core Equities product group. The Senior Analyst will work with local and international colleagues and coordinate with groups across S&P DJI, including Index Governance, Index Management & Production, Marketing and Communications, Research & Design, and Client Coverage. The role focuses on using research, data, and collaboration to develop and enhance index products, inform commercial decisions, support client requests, and deliver team objectives. The successful candidate will also identify opportunities to improve workflows and create efficiencies through effective use of AI tools.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with financial topics and industry best practices.
Programming skills such as Python or VBA.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including supporting senior team members with high-quality internal and external presentations.
Knowledge of financial packages such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Morningstar, or Eikon.
A master’s degree in a relevant field or progress toward CFA Charter holder status.
2–5 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Identify and implement opportunities to improve workflows and create efficiencies through the effective use of AI tools.
Extract, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources to support product development, commercial decision-making, and client insights.
Collaborate with Research & Design and other internal stakeholders to support index design and build a pipeline of enhancements to existing indices, new index launches, and index analysis.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and client feedback analysis to inform the product roadmap and strategic sales efforts.
Support the US Equity Indices team through analysis and content creation for thought leadership materials, including blogs and white papers.
Coordinate with senior team members to execute client requests and deliver team objectives and key results using an Agile framework.
Work with senior product management leadership, US Equity Index product managers, and wider internal stakeholders to deliver product and global initiatives.
Support financial monitoring and provide indexing solutions to clients.
