About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Global Procurement – SG&A supports the Global Procurement team in executing sourcing initiatives and managing Services, General & Administrative (SG&A) spend categories across VERSANT’s global operations. This role will play an important part in building and maturing a centralized procurement function during a period of transformation and growth. The Senior Analyst will support category strategy development, lead defined workstreams within sourcing initiatives, and partner directly with stakeholders across Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Marketing, Data Insights & Analytics, Corporate Functions, and other business areas to drive cost optimization, supplier governance, commercial value, and procurement discipline. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field of study.
  • 3+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or related commercial experience, preferably supporting SG&A categories.
  • Experience supporting or leading components of RFP, RFQ, or other competitive sourcing processes.
  • Experience participating in supplier negotiations and commercial evaluations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including spend analysis, bid evaluation, pricing analysis, and reporting.
  • Understanding of cost modeling, cost drivers, and the ability to break down and evaluate supplier cost structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and eager to develop professionally within procurement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as familiarity with web-based procurement, sourcing, or analytical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support sourcing initiatives across SG&A categories, including consulting and professional services, HR services, marketing and research services, finance and tax services, legal services, facilities, and other corporate services.
  • Lead defined components of RFx processes, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, with responsibility for supplier outreach, bid analysis, commercial evaluation, and negotiation support.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into clear and structured sourcing documentation.
  • Conduct detailed spend and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier consolidation opportunities, sourcing strategies, and compliance gaps.
  • Develop pricing models, cost analyses, and financial evaluations to support business cases, supplier comparisons, and negotiations.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement reporting, dashboards, savings documentation, and project trackers.
  • Draft sourcing and procurement materials, including RFPs, RFQs, scopes of work, work orders, pricing schedules, bid comparison analyses, and executive summaries.
  • Support the review of MSAs, SOWs, renewals, amendments, and change orders in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Legal and develop a strong working knowledge of commercial contracting principles, including reviewing supplier redlines, providing business and commercial comments, and recommending contract enhancements where appropriate.
  • Track contract milestones, renewal dates, commercial commitments, supplier performance metrics, and procurement deliverables.
  • Support supplier onboarding and ensure procurement activities align with company policies, approval requirements, and internal controls.
  • Analyze spend data from multiple sources to support fact-based category strategies, stakeholder alignment, and sourcing initiatives across functions and business units.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and support agreements that improve pricing, service levels, contractual protections, and overall business value.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and help identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
  • Monitor supplier markets, industry trends, emerging solutions, and procurement best practices to identify opportunities for continued improvement.
  • Support multiple projects and sourcing initiatives simultaneously while maintaining appropriate documentation, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
