The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, forecasting, and reporting project costs and cash flows across a portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) throughout the United States and Canada. Working closely with Project Managers, Project Controllers, Development, Construction, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Asset Management, and Operations teams, the Cost Controller provides accurate and timely cost and cash flow visibility throughout the project lifecycle—from development and financing through construction, commissioning, commercial operation, and asset optimization. The role is accountable for tracking actual expenditures, commitments, accruals, forecasts, cash requirements, and cost performance against approved project estimates, enabling proactive decision-making, financing readiness, and effective financial management. As a key member of the Project Controls function, the Cost Controller supports project governance, reporting, and PMO standardization initiatives while ensuring consistency, transparency, and accuracy in project financial performance.
