About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Commercial Analytics will support the development of analytics tools and reporting systems to communicate market and company performance metrics for Surgical Vision. A successful candidate will be a strategic problem solver with expertise in data, reporting, and analytical approaches to provide insights and analytical support for Global and Regional planning and execution. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Commercial Analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in insights, analytics or a related field, with 2+ years of experience in management consulting (or equivalent) role
  • Strong ability in data analytics, supported with excellent business communication skills to influence data-based decision-making
  • Understand complex or ambiguous business problems and be resourceful in identifying solutions, demonstrating ownership, independence, and grit in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial by nature, demonstrating curiosity, creativity, and bias for action
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Insights & Analytics in the health care industry - Medical Devices & Diagnostics/Surgical/Hospital systems
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools for data preparation, trending, and dashboarding (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Python, predictive modeling, time-series forecasting, causal inference, and feature engineering
  • Strong experience leading vendors and partners for market research/syndicated data crafting solid partnerships that will improve our insights discovery
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to impact decision-making; willingness to “have an opinion” backed by insight and confidence to influence key stakeholders
  • Keen eye for business with a strong interest to understand, interpret and apply advanced analytics to tackle business issues
  • Strong communication skills – ability to think analytically and communicate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain quarterly market performance metrics and forecast models
  • Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards measuring the health of the business to support core metrics and provide insightful recommendations. This includes producing new dashboards in Tableau, identifying trends, and communicating findings to business partners
  • Support high-priority commercial initiatives by integrating insights from forecasting, secondary data analytics, and competitive and market intelligence
  • Create clear, business-ready insights and visualizations, turning statistical results into actionable recommendations
  • Establish analytical standards, including model validation, reproducibility, and documentation practices to ensure robustness and scalability
  • Perform ad-hoc and in-depth analyses supporting current and future initiatives
  • Partner with global cross-functional teams to build and deliver key metrics that provide objective insights to efficiently implement action plans, high priority commercial initiatives, and achieve business outcomes
  • Ensure data alignment, consistent reporting, and support data validation activities as required
  • Manage third party vendor relationships, including quality, content and model design
