Program Start Date: June 15, 2026 Location: Hartford, CT Starting Salary: $75,000 Sponsorship: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs. This requisition will be unposted on February 24th. Hartford Hiring Initiative: This role is a part of the Aetna Business Operations Hartford Hiring Initiative and offers additional developmental opportunities. This may include leadership exposure, networking sessions, and Hartford-based events. This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the Hartford, CT office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. This Business Area supports Payment Integrity pre- and post-payment functions with a focus on internal and supplier driven medical expense cost savings.

Requirements

  • Makes extensive use of tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL,/Python, Dataiku QuickBase a plus but not required
  • Participates in cross-functional teams, including business claims and network managers, suppliers, providers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience required, 2-5 years experience, anticipated completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program by start date (June 2026)
  • Have a major in one of the following fields: business, management, healthcare management, finance/accounting, economics, public health, health sciences, leadership studies, marketing, human resources, communications, psychology, or sociology

Nice To Haves

  • Python, Dataiku or Alteryx a plus

Responsibilities

  • Writes code and queries using languages to capture, clean, consolidate, store, access, audit, visualize, trend and report on vendor performance data.
  • Facilitates action-focused/data-centered conversations with stakeholders about opportunities and trends in the data.
  • Creates reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner.
