Position Summary Program Start Date: June 15, 2026 Location: Hartford, CT Starting Salary: $65,000 Sponsorship: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs. This requisition will be unposted on February 24th. Hartford Hiring Initiative: This role is a part of the Aetna Business Operations Hartford Hiring Initiative and offers additional developmental opportunities. This may include leadership exposure, networking sessions, and Hartford-based events. This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the Hartford, CT office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. About this Business Area: The Mental Health Parity (MHP) Team is responsible for managing and responding to a variety of external MHP requests. This could include any combination of state regulatory requests, investigations from the Department of Labor (DOL) or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), or plan sponsor inquiries. The Team is also responsible for the implementation of new requirements from the final rule to the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act. The cross-program support role is an entry-level position and will provide support to the entire MHP Team and help manage day-to-day work. You will gain valuable work experience and participate in: Running reporting on program projects, either from QuickBase or producing manually Supporting Governance Lead with program governance and communications Assisting with maintenance of internal resources, policies and workflows Supporting regulatory reporting as needed Participating in special projects/assignments

Requirements

  • Meet educational requirements (see education section)
  • Able to work out of the Hartford, CT office
  • 0-2 years of healthcare business/insurance industry experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience required, 0-2 years experience, Anticipated completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program by start date (June 2026)
  • Have a major in one of the following fields: business, management, healthcare management, finance/accounting, economics, public health, health sciences, leadership studies, marketing, human resources, communications, psychology, or sociology
