About The Position

The Senior Asset Protection Analyst leverages data analytics, exception-based reporting, and franchise audit processes to identify fraud risks, operational vulnerabilities, compliance concerns, and opportunities to improve business performance. This role analyzes POS, franchise, and retail operational data to detect trends, anomalies, and exceptions that may indicate potential loss, fraud, or operational risk. The role requires expertise in data analysis, rule creation, and delivering actionable insights to management, supporting informed decision-making in areas such as fraud and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Statistics or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Fraud Analytics, Internal Audit, Finance, Investigations, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful trends.
  • Experience utilizing exception-based reporting, fraud detection methodologies, or predictive analytics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to various levels of leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in retail, franchise operations, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Internal Audit, or fraud investigations.
  • Experience conducting compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, retail operations, and fraud detection techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze POS, franchise, and retail operational data to identify fraud indicators, operational risks, compliance issues, and loss prevention opportunities.
  • Utilize exception-based reporting (EBR), predictive analytics, and other analytical tools to detect trends, anomalies, and emerging risks.
  • Conduct franchise audits to assess compliance with franchise agreements, operational standards, financial controls, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, models, and other analytical tools that support Asset Protection and business objectives.
  • Analyze financial, transactional, and operational data to identify irregularities, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to strengthen controls, mitigate losses, and improve operational performance.
  • Lead or support analytical projects, ensuring timely execution, effective communication, and achievement of project objectives.
  • Communicate analytical findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations to Asset Protection leadership and cross-functional stakeholders through executive summaries, reports, presentations, and other business communications.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to streamline reporting, audits, and recurring analytical processes.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and continuously enhance AI and automation solutions to meet evolving business needs.
