About The Position

The Sr. AI Product Manager independently manages the lifecycle of assigned complex AI products, translating business needs into product priorities, requirements, and delivery plans. The role develops and maintains product roadmaps within established business and technology strategy, makes product decisions within assigned scope, and leads cross-functional delivery to achieve measurable business outcomes. Working with architecture, engineering, data, UX, and risk teams, the role drives product quality, adoption, and continuous improvement within established governance and compliance requirements.

The position leads product ownership and delivery, roadmap planning, AI/GenAI product delivery and performance, cross-functional alignment, adoption and change management, and responsible AI governance. It works with business and technical partners to define product requirements, prioritize delivery, evaluate performance, prepare releases, and monitor adoption and outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressive product management experience in enterprise software, data products, or platforms.
• Experience independently owning complex products through launch and ongoing improvement.
• Experience delivering AI/ML, GenAI, or advanced analytics products, including defining requirements, evaluating product performance, and coordinating release readiness.
• Experience leading cross-functional product initiatives in Agile environments, including roadmap development, backlog prioritization, and management of competing requirements and dependencies.
• Experience working in regulated environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, roadmap development, requirements definition, backlog prioritization, and Agile delivery.
• Ability to independently assess complex product issues, evaluate business value, feasibility, cost, and risk, and make prioritization decisions within assigned authority.
• Practical knowledge of GenAI concepts, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt systems, and agents, and their application to business needs.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and cloud AI ecosystems sufficient to assess product implications with technical partners.
• Ability to define success measures and interpret evaluation results, telemetry, adoption trends, and user feedback to guide product improvements.
• Strong cross-functional influence and communication skills, including resolving competing priorities, managing dependencies, and presenting recommendations to leadership.
• Knowledge of AI governance, privacy, security, and Responsible AI practices, including fairness, explainability, and auditability.

• Automotive or financial services industry experience is preferred.
• An MBA or advanced degree in a relevant business or technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned complex AI product lifecycles from requirements definition through release and ongoing improvement.
• Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable success criteria.
• Own and prioritize product backlogs, balancing business value, user needs, technical dependencies, risk, and delivery capacity.
• Make scope, sequencing, and delivery trade-off decisions within assigned authority and provide direction to engineering teams.
• Lead release planning, stakeholder demonstrations, and rollout readiness with business and technical teams.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps for assigned AI products within established business and technology strategy.
• Evaluate and prioritize AI use cases, including GenAI copilots, intelligent automation, and decisioning, based on business value, feasibility, risk, and cost.
• Establish milestones, dependencies, and outcome measures, and adjust roadmap recommendations as needs and performance evolve.
• Balance new capabilities with product stability, scalability, operational efficiency, and cost control.
• Define product scope and requirements with architecture, engineering, and data teams, considering approaches such as retrieval-augmented generation, agents, and model selection.
• Establish product-level evaluation measures and release criteria with technical and governance partners, incorporating approved AI guardrails.
• Assess evaluation results and recommend release readiness based on task success, grounded-response rates, and identified product limitations.
• Use telemetry, user feedback, and experimentation to identify performance issues and prioritize improvements.
• Align business, engineering, data, UX, and governance stakeholders on product priorities, requirements, and delivery commitments.
• Resolve competing requirements, manage cross-team dependencies, and escalate scope, resource, or risk decisions beyond assigned authority.
• Partner with Legal, Security, Compliance, and Risk on requirements and issues affecting responsible AI implementation.
• Communicate product progress, decisions, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
• Lead launch, enablement, and change-management planning with business and delivery partners.
• Work with UX, training, and business teams to address adoption barriers through user-experience improvements, training, and communications.
• Establish and monitor adoption and business-outcome measures, including usage, task success, and operational effectiveness.
• Translate adoption trends and stakeholder feedback into recommended actions and product backlog priorities.
• Incorporate established AI governance, privacy, security, and Responsible AI requirements into product requirements and delivery plans.
• Partner with technical and risk teams to address applicable fairness, explainability, and auditability requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Prepare product documentation and readiness evidence, address governance review findings, and coordinate required approvals before release.
