Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field
- Active or obtainable DoD Secret clearance preferred
- 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
- Systems Engineering lifecycle processes
- Requirements flow-down, management, and traceability
- System architecture and system integration
- MBSE tools (SysML / UML / MagicDraw)
- Engineering tools: DOORS, MATLAB, Jira
- Agile development methodologies
- Experience supporting complex, cutting-edge defense or technology programs
- Ability to work on multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting defense programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform requirements analysis, definition, and management across the full system lifecycle.
- Conduct functional analysis and performance analysis to validate system capability and design feasibility.
- Develop and maintain system architecture and system design for complex electronic systems.
- Ensure requirements flow-down and traceability from system-level requirements to design, implementation, and test artifacts.
- Support systems integration activities across hardware, software, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as SysML/UML (MagicDraw).
- Apply systems engineering tools including DOORS, MATLAB, Jira, and Agile development methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on complex defense programs.
- Develop and present technical strategies and engineering plans to internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Support failure investigation and root cause analysis activities.
