About The Position

As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and integrating complex aerospace systems. You will work on cutting-edge technologies to enhance system performance, reliability, and safety, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. New hires are expected to report onsite 100% M-F for the first 90 days of employment. In this role, you will impact the advancement of aerospace system capabilities by applying your expertise in systems engineering principles, driving technical innovation, and ensuring seamless integration of components across projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 7+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • 7+ years of experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
  • 7 + years of experience managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies effectively.
  • U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in similar product domains is of value i.e. Avionics, Navigation and/or Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT).
  • Master's Degree or advanced professional certification.
  • Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
  • Experience with RF products.
  • Experience with the FAA certification process is a plus.
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
  • Multi-tasking and ability to adapt dictated by project changes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of advanced aerospace systems ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate system components and validate system performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians throughout the project lifecycle.
