Sr Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist
About The Position
Honeywell Aerospace is a leading global provider of integrated avionics, engines, systems and service solutions for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military, space and airport operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a M.S. or Ph.D. level electrical engineer or scientist who will pursue applied research in the area of Micro-Electrical-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and quartz-based inertial sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes and pressure sensors. The potential areas of research, development, and applications include MEMS device design, device physics, mechanical and electrical analysis and simulation, and analysis and interpretation of sensor test results. The scientist will be expected to develop new concepts, write project proposals, and develop new technologies for future products. This will include understanding customer requirements and translating those into device and product requirements.

Responsibilities
- Pursue applied research in the area of Micro-Electrical-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and quartz-based inertial sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes and pressure sensors.
- Conduct research, development, and applications in MEMS device design, device physics, mechanical and electrical analysis and simulation, and analysis and interpretation of sensor test results.
- Develop new concepts.
- Write project proposals.
- Develop new technologies for future products.
- Understand customer requirements and translate those into device and product requirements.
