About The Position

As an Infrastructure Hardware Systems Engineer for Surface Systems, you’ll be a member of an agile team responsible for delivering a robust, flexible, secure, and stable infrastructure for U.S. Navy surface ships. You will develop and configure common solutions to complex problems, test and troubleshoot in a lab environment, and create documentation to support a rigorous engineering process. You'll meet with your team daily to collaborate and problem solve to ensure we meet our commitments to the U.S. Navy mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
  • Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools.
  • Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Nice To Haves

  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings, wiring schematics, parts lists or rack layouts.
  • Troubleshooting computing hardware issues in a lab or customer site.
  • Developing schematics using Siemens Capital Logic Designer.
